Pressings Shiraz
Wine
Heathcote Estate Pressings Shiraz is a blend of grapes from Blocks B, C and F of the estate's Drummond Lane vineyard in Heathcote, central Victoria.
The pressings are the last few litres that trickle from the fermented grape skins as the press cycle nears completion. This portion of wine is loaded with fine, dry, firm tannins.
These Shiraz pressings are transferred to new and seasoned French oak puncheons for malolactic fermentation. During 12 months of maturation, the wine is racked twice.
Inky garnet, Heathcote Estate Pressings Shiraz is highly fragrant and firmly structured with savoury tannins. A wine for the long term. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
